About the Sheboygan Music Teachers Website

Purpose

This website is meant to be shared with anyone looking for private music lessons around Sheboygan County. School band teachers and private music teachers are often asked for recommendations for private instructors. But since private teachers have varying availability and criteria, it's ideal to refer seekers of private lessons directly to a listing of all available private teachers. This allows lesson-seekers to identify and communicate with the teachers who meet their needs.

History

For years, Linda Ruona, at Cedar Grove-Belgium Schools, maintained a spreadsheet of private-lesson teachers in the greater Sheboygan area. This was a useful resource for those who knew about it, but it wasn't really a publicly discoverable resource. In 2024, Jamison, at Sheboygan Drums, transformed the spreadsheet into a public website. Now the list of private music teachers is available to the public. It lists each teacher, their teaching locations and instruments, and provides a page with their contact information and an optional photo. New teachers can submit their information to the website, and existing teachers can easily update their information anytime.
